This collage (“At the next crossroads”) is composed of 18 different sand photographs. These pictures are interpreted into the Peer Gynt performance (2019) at Gålåvatnet by Jorunn Offenberg. She comments on the photos in the videos that you can see on this page.
The comments are collected in a small booklet that accompanies your purchase of the image.
The sand photographs Morten has taken on various beaches at home and abroad. The images are photographed just as the waves recede, leaving temporary traces in the sand. Several of the pictures are delicate, and he is always in search of different expressions and moods in the sand. The photographs are abstract in form and structure, where roughness and color vary depending on where on the beaches he is located. The sum of this creates a mystery and excitement in the pictures.
Morten always works with hand-held camera to feel a closeness to the subject. He has not given the images title, since he does not want to give guides for what the individual image might be for the viewer.
Art photographs over NOK 2000.- have an added 5% Art Tax (Kunstavgiften) included in the price.
