Morten Leine is this year’s festival exhibitor – LillesandsDa’ene
The renowned art photographer Morten Lei-Dne is this year’s festival exhibitor in Lillesand.
Morten Leine, who was born and raised in Lillehammer, today has Moss as his base.
The art photographer has a wide range of images, but is particularly known for his sand images. Through these, the artist invites the public to explore the abstract reality with him.
Morten Leine has a three-year education at the New York Institute of Photography. He has many courses in photography and graphic art and has also worked with school photography. In recent years, he has become a sought-after exhibitor both at home and abroad, and now it is Lillesand that will be visited by the art photographer.
Lillesands Da’ene has great expectations for this year’s main exhibition.
– At the intersection of nature and elements, he seeks to capture the uniqueness of the moment and preserve it through his photographs. Nature is full of endless motifs that form spontaneously, and it is these moments that he wants to capture and share with you. The wave acts as Morten’s brush in this creative workshop. Sometimes the wave carries more power, and at other times it is more restrained. This creates different expressions in the images, the organizers write on their websites.
Here, the emphasis is on Morten Leine producing unique art and guaranteeing that none of the images have been manipulated. He works with natural light.
– A sandy beach is a miniature landscape where his images take shape, and they can never be recreated. The grains of sand are continuously carried along by the waves, while new grains of sand are added. This is happening in the present. It is a reminder to all of us to live in the here and now, and be present and discover the beauty that exists around us. Each viewer can find their own unique meaning and interpretation in the images, and it is precisely this interaction between the artwork and the viewer that makes it abstract art so exciting and enriching. The sales exhibition will be opened by Mayor Einar Holmer-Hoven on 22 June and will be on display until 28 June.
